The compressor in the air conditioner compresses the gaseous Freon into high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous Freon, and then sends it to the condenser (outdoor unit) of the air conditioner to dissipate heat and become liquid Freon at room temperature and high pressure, so the outdoor unit blows out hot air.
The liquid Freon enters the evaporator (indoor unit) of the air conditioner through the capillary tube. The space suddenly increases and the pressure decreases. The liquid Freon will vaporize and become gaseous low-temperature Freon, thereby absorbing a large amount of heat.The evaporator will become cold, and the fan of the indoor unit will blow the indoor air through the evaporator, so the indoor unit blows out cold air; the water vapor in the air will condense into water droplets when it encounters the cold evaporator and flow out along the water pipe, which is why the air conditioner will discharge water.Then the gaseous Freon returns to the compressor to continue compression and circulation.
When heating, there is a component called a four-way valve, which makes the flow direction of Freon in the condenser and evaporator opposite to that in cooling, so when heating, the outdoor air blows cold air and the indoor unit blows hot air.
In fact, it is the principle that heat is released during liquefaction (changing from gas to liquid) and heat is absorbed during vaporization (changing from liquid to gas).
