In September 2024, the "PTC Electric Heater and Automobile" patent obtained by our group company significantly improved the operating efficiency and management flexibility of the electric heater through structural innovation. The core improvement of this patent is to adopt a modular adapter board design, insert the first and second conductive parts of multiple hot core components into the corresponding plug-in parts of the adapter board respectively, and then connect them in groups through the third and fourth plug-in parts with a reduced number. This architecture enables different numbers of hot core components to be grouped on demand to achieve an accurate match with the number of controller interfaces.

The specific efficiency improvement is reflected in two aspects: First, the group control mechanism allows the heating unit to be started in stages according to actual needs to avoid energy waste, which is especially suitable for dynamic thermal management scenarios of new energy vehicles; second, the integrated design of the adapter board simplifies the complexity of circuit connection and reduces energy loss and electromagnetic interference risks in traditional parallel structures. This structural optimization also enhances the scalability of the system, facilitates adaptation to the power requirements of different models, and reduces the process difficulty of production and assembly, indirectly improving manufacturing efficiency.

This patent provides a new engineering implementation path for the high-efficiency application of PTC electric heaters through hardware topology innovation and intelligent control compatibility design, which meets the development needs of the new energy vehicle field for precise and efficient thermal management systems.
