In our RV travel life, the core accessories on the car often determine the quality of our travel. Buying a car is like buying a house. In the process of buying a house, the air conditioner is an indispensable electrical appliance for us.
Generally, we can see two types of air conditioners in RVs, which are divided into RV special air conditioners and household air conditioners. Needless to say, the benefits of special air conditioners are fully matched with the installation of the vehicle. It is specially designed for RVs in terms of design, energy consumption, space, and shock resistance. The home air conditioner is designed for home use, and most of the RVs are modified by riders. The indoor unit of the home air conditioner takes up a lot of space, and the wiring, insulation and waterproofing cannot be guaranteed. Most importantly, the indoor unit is easy to loosen during driving bumps, which brings potential safety hazards.
Air conditioners for RVs are divided into rooftop air conditioners and bottom air conditioners.
Rooftop air conditioner: easy to install and takes up less space, but because there is no pipeline for transportation, the cooling and heating effect is slightly inferior to that of the bottom air conditioner.
Bottom air conditioners: Cooling and heating are more efficient than rooftop air conditioners. However, the installation process is complicated, and it is necessary to lay air ducts under the trunk and floor, which is difficult to install later, and it will also occupy the storage space in the car, so the inventory is relatively small.
Air conditioners are also divided into fixed frequency air conditioners and inverter air conditioners.
Fixed-frequency air conditioner: Start the machine and set the required temperature. After reaching the specified temperature, the machine will continue to run. Since it is running all the time, it will consume more electricity than the inverter air conditioner. It is mostly used in low-end air conditioners in RVs.
Inverter air conditioner: Set the required temperature after turning on the machine, and the machine will stop running when the specified temperature is reached. Compared with fixed frequency air conditioner, it will save a lot of power. It is mostly used in high-end air conditioners in RVs.
In terms of power supply type, it is divided into 12V, 24V, 110V/ 220V Rv Air Conditioner .12V and 24V parking air conditioners: Although electricity consumption is safer, the current required is very large, and the capacity requirements of the battery are also very high.
110V/220V parking air conditioner: It can be connected to the mains when parking in a campsite, but if there is no external power supply, it can rely on a large-capacity battery and inverter for a short time, and it needs to be used with a generator for a long time.
All in all, for the pursuit of comfort and convenience, the 110V/220V parking air conditioner is the most suitable, and it is also the most loaded form of RV in the world.
